Approx. 23 HOURS PER WEEK – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (handover day Wednesday)

Job summary:

Based at the MPA Head Office working within a small team, handling the administration for the Improved Access GP Service (IAGP)

To provide support to the office team and planning the IAGP rotas, whilst supervising the Reception Teams also the main point of contact for the Hub operation and Practices - sharing the role with the other part-time coordinator

Essential to have excellent PC, people and telephone skills and an eye for admin detail

MPA currently operates six GP Access Hubs (A 7th to open later this year) across Medway serving 44 GP Practices, 300,000 population

An understanding of the EMIS or a similar clinical system is desirable plus General Practice knowledge

MPA Immediate Bank Reception Staff Vacancies

MPA are recruiting staff to work as receptionists and carry out administrator duties as part of our Bank team.

Initially required to work in St Werburgh Medical Practice in Hoo & St Mary’s Island in Chatham. There will also be hours available in the Improved Access hubs in the Health Living Centres across Medway.

The hours are flexible “Full or Part Time”; £9.50 per hour and NHS pension is available.

Administration Support Full Time

Based at MPA HQ Nr Lordswood and supporting two Primary Care Hub Coordinators.

Must have a good knowledge of the EMIS clinical system and understanding of Primary Care.

Good communication & PC skills are essential plus the ability to work under pressure in a small friendly team.

Start date ideally August/September - in the current climate some home working maybe required.

Salary according experience but will be competitive.

Weekend Hub Coordinator for GP Federation

An Office Hub Coordinator is required to work for the GP Federation from their HQ in Lordswood (job share considered) 

The role is to provide cover and support for the reception teams working across Medway at the Improved Access Hubs (Rochester, Hoo, Gillingham, Strood & Chatham)

Experience of General Practice including the EMIS Clinical system would be an advantage plus good computer skills and telephone manner

The individual will be part of a small team - the work will be varied and interesting but a flexible and team working ethic is essential

You will be the main point of contact during these hours and also be expected to cover sickness, assisting with chaperone requests and covering receptionists breaks


  • Friday 2pm to 7pm
  • Saturday 8am to 3pm
  • Sunday 8am to 1pm

Start date asap, circa £11.00 per hour depending on experience – full training will be provided
