Dr. Abdul-Wahid Mohammad

Dr. Abdul-Wahid Mohammad

Dr Abdul-Wahid Mohammad, MPharm (hons) P.hD PGCHE IPresc AC, qualified from Robert Gordon University in 2001 and has a background in Community, Hospital, General Practice and Academic pharmacy sectors.

Dr Mohammad has completed a PhD in Pharmaceutical Care, and development of new models of clinical care is a non-medical prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner. He is passionate about developing new models of care in General Practice for chronic disease.

Being at the forefront of patient care in Diabetes and Cardiovascular disease also has a keen interest in nutrition to provide a holistic approach to patients. His hobbies include: Keeping fit and computer programming.

Dr Kuljinder Klear

Dr Kuljinder Klear

Dr Kuljinder Klear qualified from Exeter Medical School in 2013 and works as a salaried GP at HighParks Medical Practice, Higham, after qualifying from the Medway VTS programme.

He has a keen interest in teaching and training as is part of the Primary care Multi-disciplinary Leadership programme to transform health and social care in Kent and Medway. He is a highly motivated and dedicated doctor and is our clinical advisor for the Hubs based in Hoo, Rochester, Lordswood and Rainham.

Bonnie Olsen

Bonnie Olsen

Bonnie qualified as a registered nurse in 2000 and has worked in the NHS ever since in a variety of roles including research, acute and community care.  However, her real passion is General Practice, where she has worked for the last 8 years developing non-medical prescribing and advanced health & clinical examination skills

She is keen that the voice of nurses is heard at a local level in the development of services ensuring high quality care for all. Being both a mentor for pre-registration students and sessional lecturer at Canterbury Christchurch University, she hopes to inspire students to think about General Practice as a career opportunity.

As well as Nursing, Bonnie is involved in a variety of voluntary roles within the local community including Girlguiding as a Brownie leader of 20 years as well as a Residential Advisor.  Bonnie is also active within NCT Medway running a weekly parent / toddler group in addition to the bi-annual Nearly New Sales.  She also has 2 young children, who like to keep her busy and active.

Dr Oluwaseum Arokodare

MRCGP: Royal College of General Practitioners

Currently working as a full time partner with 5 years post GP training experience.

Actively involved in the day to day running of the surgery & providing GMS services to 12,000 patients across 3 sites in the Medway towns.


  • Excellent communication skills with good listening abilities for dealing with patients
  • Able to work independently & also in a multidisciplinary capacity
  • Excellent IT and time management skills necessary to carry out my duty as a GP.
  • Competent in running an efficient clinic in minor operations in general practice
  • Compassionate and Empathy demonstrated in carrying out my duties
  • Good leadership skills as a partner in making administrative decisions to help in the daily running of a busy practice
  • Up to date CPD, Appraisals and revalidation.
Dr Julian Spinks

Dr Julian Spinks

Dr Spinks has been a Medway GP for over 30 years following his GP training on the Medway VTS. He developed an interest in NHS administration and politics whilst still training and has had a broad range of experience in hospital and primary care administration.

He has been an LMC member for much of his career and he is currently Vice Chair having been Chair for 3 years. He also advises a National Charity and the Association For Continence Advice.

Julian lectures and has done media work for over 20 years. He regularly appears on BBC and ITV and is KMTVs Health Expert.

Dr Spinks has been Chairman of MPA since it formed in 2014.

Helen Hutchings

Helen Hutchings

Helen started her working life in retail in her hometown of Newcastle. Eager to progress, she moved around the country developing her managerial skills and business acumen. She ran flagship stores in London, Brighton and Bluewater and was instrumental in opening Lego stores in the USA and Russia. After 20 years of retail, she was ready for a new challenge and so moved into the health sector as an NHS Practice Manager. She helped set up the Medway Practices Alliance federation in 2014 and is now the Director of Operations. She was instrumental in setting up the improved access scheme for Medway CCG.

She enjoys relaxing with friends, walking her dog and planning her holidays.

Malcolm Benson

Malcolm Benson

After a 15-year career with Mars Confectionery (sales, marketing, HR, recruitment, merchandising and product development) moved onto more senior roles with SMEs.

A career developed in various industries / medium size SMEs as an MD / CEO culminating in a management buyout of a business in 2005.

A successful Interim career followed in the private sector and was  invited to work in the NHS Primary Care sector in 2010.

For the last 9 years completed various Interim Director roles and currently COO for MPA.

Vast experience of GP federations, NHS Trusts working with CCGs and within Primary Care.

Also, a CQC inspector as a Special Advisor.

Was a keen event rider for 15 years and after a county squash playing career became a keen golfer handicap now 11, regular gym sessions and enjoying socialising with friends.

Live in the New Forest area, separated - a Bath Rugby season ticket holder plus a keen supporter of England Rugby.
